Hi Ms.Tornroos! It was great to see you again on Tuesday- I've gone through a list of books I've read lately and picked out some good books I think will be good for the library- I tried to pick the ones that weren't TOO overly mature, and toned down the romance. If you think they can handle a little more, then definitely I can find some more.

1. The Last Little Blue Envelope by Maureen Johnson-the sequel to 13 Little Blue Envelopes, I found myself enjoying this one even more.
2. The Name of the Star by Maureen Johnson- this book is a very good mystery and fantasy novel, but the only slight problem with it is that it's about a murder who is reinacting the murders of Jack the Ripper, so some details of some of the murders could be quite brutal. I've read it, and it's not OVER the top, so I think it's OK, but definitely stick to G.7's and mature Gr.6's. Slight romance- but probably less than 5 pages of that, and a a little violence at the end, but not major.
3. Maximum Ride series by James Patterson- I think I saw a couple of your shelf, I do enjoy them, and the romance is very toned down, my only problem is with James Patterson's writing and how he constantly drags on the series. The last book is out this August. I believe the romance starts picking up after Max, the fifth book, so there's that.
4.If I Stay by Gayle Forman- more of a book for those people who enjoy sentimental books, about a girl Mia, a gifted cellist, after a car crash killing her entire family but her, she sees herself in the hospital, and thinks back on her life. I found it quite meaningful, slight romance (barely) and even if the kids don't read it, I recommend for you to read it. :)
5. The Near Witch by Victoria Schwab-well written fantasy, slight romance, talking about this girl and how her village has been haunted- young kids have been kidnapped, and talks of the Near Witch, who once was a witch for the village, may have returned for revenge...
6. Legend by Marie Lu- dystopian, about a boy named Day and a girl named June fighting against the republic- I believe it's Los Angeles. Or somewhere in Amercia. Slight romance again, but excellent.
7 Enclave by Ann Aguire- again, dystopian,(I've just been loving dystopian lately.) a society who lives down in the sewer, due to the world above being almost destroyed.
8. Blood Red Road by Moira Young- I was very fortunate as my teachers took us tot he Writer's Festival this year at Granville Island so I met Moira Young there- this book is amazing, I love it, the book is written in a special style though- no punctuation, the words are spelled by how the sound, but it doesn't take long to get used to reading it. However, there is some violence in slight places, so do stick to Gr.7's only, and slight romance. Also, I very highly recommend you to read this one yourself too!
9. The Fault In Our Stars by John Green- this one is more for you than the kids- I dearly loved this boo,. John Green is the author of Looking for Alaska, and again, he's written another very meaningful book, about cancer, and this girl Hazel, who meets a boy, Augustus Waters who change her view about things. Very meaningful and sweet, only reason why I wouldn't totally recommend it for the kids is because of the romance, but please it yourself and see what you think!

Also, keep in mind Insurgent, the sequel to Divergent is out (Not as great as Divergent in my opinion, but stills good book.) If the kids read these all (O.O) I definitely have more, and I'll keep an eye out for some good middle grade books- seems to me there hasn't been any great ones lately.

If you want more information on more TEEN books (for youself to read..) I've taken your advice and now have my own blog- www.serenitybooksandlove.blogspot.com, so if you want to see some books I've read and liked and have written reviews for, that's the place. (Although I more frequently use Goodreads instead.)

Thank you! And have a great summer reading. :D
